Children in churchyard

...we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power, and the wonders he has done...Then they would put their trust in God... Psalm 78:4-7

What is Sunday JAM?

Sunday JAM (Jesus and Me) is the junior church programme for children 11years and under.  We have approximately 60 children, split into 6 different age groups and we are love welcoming new families and children - please do join us.  For the under 3's, we have a ratio of one adult to every three children and for the over 3's, we have one adult to every eight children.  We are also able to offer one to one support for children with special needs.

What happens during Sunday JAM?

For one hour on a Sunday, we teach and care for the children and babies during 11am service.  The children all start off in the congregation for the first fifteen minutes, then go to their different groups.
We aim to give interesting and age appropriate Bible lessons, sharing the Good News of the Gospel and helping the children to grow in their faith.  We pray with the children, learn memory verses, sing, make things, cook and have FUN!

How often does Sunday JAM meet?

We meet every Sunday throughout the year apart from family services, which are held on the third Sunday of the month.

What is BREAD?

Once a month, the eldest two groups, Blackberry and Apricot, meet for various activities and have an opportunity to make closer friendships.  For example, this term we have made pizzas and played games; we will be going skating in Oxford and have a film night planned.

DBS checked?

All regular leaders are DBS checked.

Rock-a-Tots is a singing group for babies and toddlers on Tuesday mornings in Burford Church.  It is run by a group of mums from church and each friendly session is packed with musical fun.  There are puppets, percussion, a parachute and lots of singing.  There are many familiar favourite songs plus a few new ones to extend our repertoire!  There are also action songs and quieter songs and it is suitable for any children from six weeks up to the age of three.  We hope to have special 'meet the instrument' sessions from time to time.  Singing is followed by a play session for the children, and coffee, cake and chat for the adults. Rock-a-Tots meets every Tuesday during the school term, but not in the holidays. The sessions run from 9.45am - 11.15am and cost £2 per family.  Why not join us if you have children up to the age of three - we'd love to see you.  Everyone welcome.
