ZUMBA

Laugh, smile, lots of fun and lots of calories being burnt. Just come along and you'll leave with a big smile and a great workout! Zumba fitness is a Latin-inspired cardio-dance workout that uses music and choreographed steps to form a fitness party atmosphere. Zumba is a fitness class based on the principle of interval training - alternating high intensity and lower intensity exercise which works for both beginners and advanced exercisers. In Zumba, changes in intensity are driven by the different rhythms of the music and the steps. We start with a warm-up then move through several routines which vary in intensity and style - merengue, salsa, rumbia, cumbia...etc! Zumba blends traditional dance steps with basic fitness moves so everyone can participate - it's very easy to follow.

Aerobics

Mondays: 6-7pm
Thursdays: 6.15-7.15pm and 7.30-8.30pm

£4.50 per session

These classes will be ‘No Frills’ Aerobics classes - simple, fun and effective exercise to upbeat music. No previous experience necessary, and all levels of fitness welcome. Find out more here.

Four Point Pilates
 

A new Physiotherapy-led Beginner/Improver Matwork based Pilates class. 
Starting Friday 5th May 6-7pm in the Old Hall
Bookings only, no drop-ins accepted on the day.

Exercises are based on the mat, following a repertoire of APPI (Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute) Pilates method exercises. It is suitable for all levels and include exercises to improve spinal mobility, posture, with body awareness and to strengthen, tone, and increase flexibility of all parts of the body.
You will need to wear comfortable clothing, which enables your full range of movement. Clothing without excess zips and buttons is best as these can damage the equipment. Shoes are not required; most clients choose to work in socks or bare feet. We have disinfectant wipes we use on the equipment after use. All equipment is provided so just bring yourself along!
